Bеrbеris thunbergii „Bagatelle“

What it is:
A Flowering deciduous shrub that has a compact growth, with significant copper-red rounded leaves, branched stems with sharp thorns and imperceptibly tiny yellow flowers that appear in late April and early May. In autumn are formed red berries that are retained in the winter.
It grows to 30 cm thick and proper form.
Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun.
Only need occasional watering during dry weather.
This miniature cultivar does not need pruning.
An excellent specimen shrub for a small space. Also effective in the rock garden or as an edging where the thorns will help create a low barrier. Planted in groups.
