Helleborus niger

What it is:
Evergreen perennial flower with dark green leathery leaves, white flowers, sometimes streaked with pink color, resembling a wild rose. It blooms from late autumn to early spring.
It reaches a height of 23-30 cm.
Requires deep, fertile and loose but moist soil. The soil should be neutral or slightly alkaline and is obliged to be enriched with peat.
It's necessary regular watering when plant grows and blooms.
Remove faded or damaged foliage as the flowers appear.
It is best to plant in places where there are or partial shade is best to plant deciduous trees under which the plant will allow exposure to sunlight during the winter.
